As Ms Gina would say, "well CRAP"  maybe set that cell alarm out another 15 minutes...  I seem to be running on about 4 hours sleep these days, and have asked all of the insomniacs to keep their short sleep patterns, but I'm not working 3 jobs anymore either...  so no one knows that I'm a cranky "B".

hey george,
congrats on your 10 years. How are the Oletas? i know you mentioned the elder Oleta was going to your son and DIL's home over the weekend. How did that go and what is her status these days? how is the DIL holding up? just concerned, feel free to tell me to mind my own business :)

Very much appreciate you asking. Would never tell you to mind your own business for something I layed out on the board to start with.

Oleta J. (the mother) has moved into my son's house.  Hospice care comes in every day to check on her.  An aide of some kind comes by and bathes her, brushes her hair, checks for bed sores, etc.  She is doing aw good as can be expected, probably even better.

The garage is just about ready for her to move in.  Once they are completely ready, they call hospice and they come out and move the bed.  Oleta T (DIL) is an amazingly strong girl.  I fear the reaction once the situation is over.  She is so strong, that it is just not normal.  One day she did take Mary home and sat in the driveway crying for an hour.  Mary encouraged her to, told her she needed to let it out.

Oleta is also checking into this group that will sit with her mother once in a while so she can get out the house.  We are going to try to get them for next Friday (14th)  morning, as we are taking the family to the circus at the 10:30 matinee show in Fort Worth.

Docs say there is no telling how long it will be.  Just need prayer for her comfort.

Regarding the ten years, it is really something.  I am one of those that really enjoys his job.  It was fun coming in to work tonight.  There are 4 employee meetings, the first one being earlier this evening.  The entire night shift that was on duty at 7:30 went to it.  They showed my picture as achieving 10 years.  Someone told me that I got the most applause of all those shown (they show pictures of 5, 10, 15 and 20 year employees).  I wanted to go to the day meeting because there ae so many people I have not seen in 6 or 7 years (my last employee meeting), so they have not seen me minus 150 lbs either.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George,
Glad to hear the Oleta situation is going as well as can be expected. Definately have your DIL have the group that can come sit with her mother do so as the primary caregiver needs a break and so often doesnt take one (speaking from experience here).  I feel for your DIL as having been there 3 times myself.. and you are correct in her being that strong is not always a good thing.  Good for mary to encourage her to have a crying moment.

Enjoy your day meeting, im sure you will get many wow moments from it :)
see you sat
